Chile 3

So the 2nd day on the hill in Chile we were lucky enough to have some heli time from Valle Nevado which we drove up to, on a road which has got about 60 odd turns including 42 switchbacks.  How they build some of these roads is beyond me at times as its literally just tacked on the side of the mountain.   That road, after a big old lunch was one of the few times I ever got travel sick, but eventually we got up there.

We had a couple of helis to use, and so it meant the filmers could get dropped off, riders could do lines, and damn it makes hiking look like a whole world of work.

We had the same crew which meant for another epic day.  Nicolas above just surveying the world.  Its amazing, he is just like, yep, that looks pretty decent, and then drop him off ontop of the mountain, and down he comes and throws a line in like this one..

He linked that into this line…

Then has a break to check it out from the bottom.

Our hosts were amazing, and we had packed lunches on hill, even bringing us a bottle of amazing wine, which the media amoungst us including Carlino, set to pretty quickly…

Gigi managed to find a rock garden for a bit of a shark attack at one point on his new Slash board.  Luckily he is all good though…

Gigi just powering out of a turn…

Backcountry Kass also got in on the act, with one of the most fun looking lines on the trip..

Funny as he said he didnt really even know where he was going, so he just charged down and hoped he made the right chute.

This is Manuel Diaz, which is one of the pictures I am most happy with, method of a cornice with the Heli infront.  You can probably see Andy Wright and Flo from the Pirates hanging out the door on the wrong side to capture the action, so its all down to my trusty camera to get it…
